Mr Chris Ngcobo has more than 21 years of working experience with 14 year being in the small business development environment. Having started as a high school teacher and later on moved to Standard Bank and serve in various roles in retail bank environment. From 2001, he started his own business and management consultancy. He then joined Absa as business development consultant, then a manager for enterprise development. He quickly moved to the mainstream banking and spent 4 years as a sales manager for enterprise banking covering Ethekwini area and later on a North Durban region. He is very passionate about small and micro business development as a tool to alleviate poverty and address socio-economic inequalities in our country, South Africa. Especially addressing the issues of access to markets for small businesses that operate in township and rural areas, but also the issues affecting the small and micro businesses in general.
